Objectifs de la Fondation Planète des Hommes
pour contribuer à:
• une connaissance, une compréhension et un respect mutuels entre tous les peuples;
• une action contre l’extrémisme racial, ethnique, religieux et politique;
• la prévention et la résolution des conflits armés;
• le développement des processus de paix;
• l’éradication des doubles standards dans les politiques nationales et internationales;
• l’éducation des nouvelles générations dans un esprit de valeurs démocratiques, de fonction publique et de culture de paix.
Pour réaliser ces objectifs, la Fondation:
• créera une nouvelle chaîne télévisée publique internationale et transfrontalière Planète des Hommes en plusieurs langues pour assurer la synchronisation de la diffusion mondiale du projet vidéo Planète des Hommes;
• élaborera un projet vidéo culturel, pédagogique, analytique sur les nouvelles Planète des Hommes, qui sera principalement dédié à l’Histoire et à la plupart des aspects de la vie moderne ainsi qu’aux problèmes mondiaux les plus délicats. Sa diffusion mondiale en plusieurs langues sera synchronisée sur la chaîne publique Planète des Hommes qui sera transfrontalière et une diffusion sélective aura lieu sur les chaînes éducatives ou autres de tous les pays qui seraient intéressées;
• créera un site Planète des Hommes polyglotte pour servir de ressource pédagogique à un nombre limité de sujets et une plate-forme web pour faire la promotion de tous les autres projets Planète des Hommes et de toutes activités d’organisations similaires;
• organisera ses propres actions de masse contre la guerre et le terrorisme et soutiendra les activités similaires d’autres organisations;
• organisera les Festivals mondiaux annuels de Planète des Hommes, dont la conception et le programme permettront de les considérer comme un acte de paix contre la guerre et le terrorisme;
• organisera les Marathons Planète des Hommes au niveau régional, transfrontalier et transcontinental;
• organisera annuellement des concours Planète des Hommes au niveau international et national pour les collégiens, les lycéens et les étudiants. Ils seront consacrés à l’histoire culturelle et politique de l’humanité ainsi qu’aux problèmes d’actualité affectant la population mondiale;
• organisera des programmes de voyage Planète des Hommes et tiendra une fois par an les camps d’été internationaux Planète des Hommes dans divers pays pour les gagnants des concours annuels nationaux et internationaux de Planète des Hommes;
• établira un Centre Culturel et Pédagogique Planète des Hommes qui concevra et lancera ses propres programmes pédagogiques et culturels dans le cadre conceptuel général et qui seront adaptés aux objectifs et projets de la Fondation Planète des Hommes;
• soutiendra et coordonnera la création et la mise en route des antennes nationales de la Fondation Planète des Hommes et du Centre Pédagogique et Culturel de Planète des Hommes dans le monde entier pour travailler au niveau national et local lors de la mise en place de la conception générale et des projets de base de la Fondation ainsi que des propres programmes du Centre conformément au contexte local et national.

 Constitution
of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
The Governments of the States Parties to this Constitution on behalf of their peoples declare:
That since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed;
That the wide diffusion of culture, and the education of humanity for justice and liberty and peace are indispensable to the dignity of man and constitute a sacred duty which all the nations must fulfill in a spirit of mutual assistance and concern;
That the peace mustbe founded, if it is not to fail, upon the intellectual and moral solidarity of mankind.
For these reasons, the States Parties to this Constitution... are agreed and determined to develop and to increase the means of communication between their peoples and to employ these means for the purposes of mutual understanding and a truer and more perfect knowledge of each other's lives;
In consequence whereof they do hereby create the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization for the purpose of advancing, through the educational and scientific and cultural relations of the peoples of the world, the objectives of international peace...
Article I
Purposes and functions
1. The purpose of the Organization is to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among the nations through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.
2. To realize this purpose the Organization will:
(a) Collaborate in the work of advancing the mutual knowledge and understanding of peoples, through all means of mass communication and to that end recommend such international agreements as may be necessary to promote the free flow of ideas by word and image;
(b) Give fresh impulse to popular education and to the spread of culture:
... By suggesting educational methods best suited to prepare the children of the world for the responsibilities of freedom;
(c) Maintain, increase and diffuse knowledge:
By encouraging cooperation among the nations in all branches of intellectual activity, including the international exchange of persons active in the fields of education, science and culture and the exchange of publications, objects of artistic and scientific interest and other materials of information;
By initiating methods of international cooperation calculated to give the people of all countries access to the printed and published materials produced by any of them.
With a view to preserving the independence, integrity and fruitful diversity of the cultures and educational systems of the States Members of the Organization, the Organization is prohibited from intervening in matters which are essentially within their domestic jurisdiction.
