Los metas de la Fundación
EL PLANETA DEL HOMBRE
son contribuir a:
• conocimiento mutuo, entendimiento y respeto entre todos los pueblos;
• contrarreacción a extremismo racial, étnico, religioso y político;
• prevención y resolución de conflictos armados;
• desarrollo de procesos pacificadores;
• eliminación de dobles normas en la política extranjera e interna;
• educación de generaciones nuevas en un espíritu de valores democráticos, actividad civil y cultura de paz.
Para realizar estos metas la Fundación va a:
• crear un nuevo canal de TV El Planeta del
Hombre fronterizo y multilingüe para asegurar la difusión global sincronizada del proyecto de vídeo El Planeta del
Hombre;
• trabajar en un proyecto de vídeo cultural y educativo, de noticias y análisis El Planeta del
Hombre dedicado ante todo a la historia y casi todos los aspectos de la vida actual de todos los estados existentes, así como a los problemas globales más agudos, para la difusión global sincronizada sobre el canal de TV multilingüe y fronterizo El Planeta del
Hombre y la difusión selectiva en los canales de TV educativos interesados y otros en el mundo entero;
• crear un sitio Web multilingüe El Planeta del
Hombre para servir como un recurso educativo sobre un número limitado de asuntos y una plataforma de web para anunciar los otros proyectos El Planeta del
Hombre y actividades similares de otras organizaciones;
• organizar su propia masa pacifista y acciones de antiterrorismo y apoyar actividades similares de otras organizaciones;
• organizar los festivales mundiales anuales El Planet del Hombre, cuyo diseño y cronograma permitirán que se los considere principalmente como un evento para mantener la paz, luchar contra la guerra y contra el terrorismo;
• organizar Maratones regionales, nacionales, transfronterizos y transcontinentales El Planeta del
Hombre;
• organizar los concursos anuales nacionales e internacionales El Planeta del
Hombre para colegios, institutos y universitarios dedicados a la historia cultural y política de humanidad y cuestiones agudas que afectan la comunidad moderna internacional;
• sostener los campamentos de verano anuales e internacionales El Planeta del
Hombre en varios países, para los ganadores de los concursos anuales nacionales e internacionales El Planeta del
Hombre;
• establecer un Centro Cultural y Educativo
El Planeta del
Hombre para diseñar y poner en práctica sus propios programas educativos y culturales dentro del concepto general y apropiado a los objetivos y los proyectos de la Fundación
El Planeta del
Hombre;
• apoyar y coordinar la actividad de los capítulos nacionales de la Fundación El Planeta del
Hombre y del Centro Cultural y Educativo El Planeta del
Hombre alrededor del mundo para trabajar a nivel local y nacional implementando el diseño general y los planes básicos de los programas de la Fundación y del Centro en conformidad con las circunstancias locales y nacionales.

 Constitution
of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
The Governments of the States Parties to this Constitution on behalf of their peoples declare:
That since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed;
That the wide diffusion of culture, and the education of humanity for justice and liberty and peace are indispensable to the dignity of man and constitute a sacred duty which all the nations must fulfill in a spirit of mutual assistance and concern;
That the peace mustbe founded, if it is not to fail, upon the intellectual and moral solidarity of mankind.
For these reasons, the States Parties to this Constitution... are agreed and determined to develop and to increase the means of communication between their peoples and to employ these means for the purposes of mutual understanding and a truer and more perfect knowledge of each other's lives;
In consequence whereof they do hereby create the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization for the purpose of advancing, through the educational and scientific and cultural relations of the peoples of the world, the objectives of international peace...
Article I
Purposes and functions
1. The purpose of the Organization is to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among the nations through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.
2. To realize this purpose the Organization will:
(a) Collaborate in the work of advancing the mutual knowledge and understanding of peoples, through all means of mass communication and to that end recommend such international agreements as may be necessary to promote the free flow of ideas by word and image;
(b) Give fresh impulse to popular education and to the spread of culture:
... By suggesting educational methods best suited to prepare the children of the world for the responsibilities of freedom;
(c) Maintain, increase and diffuse knowledge:
By encouraging cooperation among the nations in all branches of intellectual activity, including the international exchange of persons active in the fields of education, science and culture and the exchange of publications, objects of artistic and scientific interest and other materials of information;
By initiating methods of international cooperation calculated to give the people of all countries access to the printed and published materials produced by any of them.
With a view to preserving the independence, integrity and fruitful diversity of the cultures and educational systems of the States Members of the Organization, the Organization is prohibited from intervening in matters which are essentially within their domestic jurisdiction.
