Israel Plus is a television station in Israel, it primarily broadcasts in the
Russian language with or without Hebrew subtitles, some shows are in
Hebrew with Russian subtitles. Israel Plus is aimed at the one million
plus Russian speakers who have immigrated to the country since 1990. It is also known as Channel 9, the channel on which it is broadcast on cable and satellite.
The Israeli Educational Television (IETV, Hebrew: ha-televízya ha-khinukhit ha-israelit) is a state-owned public television network which used to concetrate in producing and broadcasting programs for schoolchildren. The first Israeli children's show, featuring Kishkashta, aired on Channel 1 in the 1970s and '80s. However, since the 1980s IETV began to produce TV magazines and programs aimed at adults and senior citizens.
