أهداف مؤسسة "كوكبنا" هي المساهمة في:
• التعارف و التفاهم و الاحترام المتبادل بين كلّ الشعوب
• مقاومة التطرف السياسي و الديني و العرقي و الجنسي
• وقاية إيجاد الحلول للنزاعات المسلحة
• تطوير مسارات الحفظ عن السلام
• إزالة المعايير المزدوجة في السياسات الخارجية والداخلية
• تربية الأجيال الجديدة على روح القيم الديمقراطية و
• العمل الاجتماعي و ثقافة السلام
لتحقيق هذه الغايات ستعمل المؤسسة على:
• خلق قناة تلفزة "كوكبنا" الدولية متعددة اللغات و عابرة للحدود لضمان بث متزامن عالمي لمشروع فيديو "كوكبنا"
• تنظيم أنشطة ثقافية و تعليمية و أخبار أشرطة فيديو تحليلية لمشروع "كوكبنا" تكرّس قبل كلّ شيء على التاريخ و إلى تقريبا كل مظاهر الحياة اليومية لكل الحالات الموجودة، كما و بالنسبة لكل المشاكل العالمية الخطيرة لخلق بث عالمي متزامن متعدد اللغات و عابر للحدود الدولية لقناة "كوكبنا" الدولية و البث الانتقائي حول القضية التعليمية المهمة و قنوات التلفزة الأخرى حول العالم
• إنشاء موقع "كوكبنا" المتعدد اللغات ليخدم كمصدر تعليمي لعدد محدود من القضايا و قاعدة رقمية للدعاية لمشاريع "كوكب الإنسان" الأخرى و حول أنشطة المنظمات الأخرى المماثلة
• تنظيم أنشطة جماعية ضد الإرهاب و ضد الحرب و دعم أنشطة مماثلة تقوم بها تنظيمات أخرى
تنظيم مهرجانات عالمية سنوية لمؤسسة "كوكبنا" و التي يتيح برنامجها و قاعدة تصورها قبل كلّ شيء الحفاظ على السلام و المناسبات المضادة للحرب و الإرهاب
• تنظيم مسابقات ماراتون "كوكبنا" محلية و إقليمية و قارية و عابرة للحدود
• تنظيم مسابقات وطنية و دولية لمؤسسة "كوكبنا" لفائدة طلاب المدارس الثانوية و الجامعية تخص الثقافة و التاريخ السياسي للبشرية و حول مصادر النزاعات في المجتمع الدولي الحديث
• إقامة مخيمات سنوية دولية لمؤسسة "كوكبنا" في مختلف البلدان لفائدة الفائزين في المسابقات الدولية و الوطنية التي تنظمها مؤسسة "كوكبنا"
• إنشاء مركز تعليمي و ثقافي لمؤسسة "كوكبنا" و خلق برامج تعليمية و ثقافية خاصة تلائم التصور العام لغايات و مخططات المؤسسة
• دعم و تنسيق و إنشاء أنشطة للفروع الوطنية للمؤسسة و مراكز تعليمية حول العالم للعمل على المستويين الوطني و المحلي تتمحور على التصور العام و المخططات المبدئية للمؤسسة و برنامج المركز الخاص مطابقة مع الظروف الوطنية و المحلية

 Constitution
of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
The Governments of the States Parties to this Constitution on behalf of their peoples declare:
That since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed;
That the wide diffusion of culture, and the education of humanity for justice and liberty and peace are indispensable to the dignity of man and constitute a sacred duty which all the nations must fulfill in a spirit of mutual assistance and concern;
That… the peace must…be founded, if it is not to fail, upon the intellectual and moral solidarity of mankind.
For these reasons, the States Parties to this Constitution... are agreed and determined to develop and to increase the means of communication between their peoples and to employ these means for the purposes of mutual understanding and a truer and more perfect knowledge of each other's lives;
In consequence whereof they do hereby create the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization for the purpose of advancing, through the educational and scientific and cultural relations of the peoples of the world, the objectives of international peace...
Article I
Purposes and functions
1. The purpose of the Organization is to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among the nations through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.
2. To realize this purpose the Organization will:
(a) Collaborate in the work of advancing the mutual knowledge and understanding of peoples, through all means of mass communication and to that end recommend such international agreements as may be necessary to promote the free flow of ideas by word and image;
(b) Give fresh impulse to popular education and to the spread of culture:
... By suggesting educational methods best suited to prepare the children of the world for the responsibilities of freedom;
(c) Maintain, increase and diffuse knowledge:
By encouraging cooperation among the nations in all branches of intellectual activity, including the international exchange of persons active in the fields of education, science and culture and the exchange of publications, objects of artistic and scientific interest and other materials of information;
By initiating methods of international cooperation calculated to give the people of all countries access to the printed and published materials produced by any of them.
With a view to preserving the independence, integrity and fruitful diversity of the cultures and educational systems of the States Members of the Organization, the Organization is prohibited from intervening in matters which are essentially within their domestic jurisdiction.
